Spled works within the established Ministry of Education framework to assist with reducing underachievement in all levels of education by students with dyslexia and other specific learning disabilities including ADHD, dyspraxia, developmental asphasia and perceptual difficulties. Spled is an approved NZQA provider of courses for caregivers, parents, qualified teachers and other interested people who work or live with young people with these special educational needs.
Spled's 28 member associations work throughout the country to provide a range of services including information, advice, student screening and assessment, support for families and whanau and individual tuition.
