Free Beaches NZ exists to promote clothes-free recreation at suitable locations (which usually means beaches). Our members meet for outings to beaches and rivers and go on walks in the summer months, hold swimming, spa and sauna evenings, and put on a variety of social activities in the cold winter months.
We are a group that accepts families of all ages. We take a clothing-optional stance to cater for the whole family.
Public nudity is not illegal in New Zealand. The only rules against it are societal, unless those who are nude are acting offensively. For this reason, we aim to not offend. Rather, we believe that our cause is better served through discretion and dignity.
