Computer Competence offers friendly, professional computer training opportunities in the use of Microsoft Office (2003, 2007 and 2010) and MYOB software packages. Training resources in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publiusher are available for all skill levels, from those with little or no computer skills right up to experienced users who want to extend their existing capabilities.
The Computer Competence Training Centre is located in the Phoenix Arcade in central Nelson. Scheduled classes of between 2-6 people are offered. Training sessions focus on providing relevant knowledge and practical computer experience to build both confidence and competence and have been carefully designed to improve skills using common business software. Each individual is supported to learn at their own pace. For more specific training needs, individualised training is available. Tailored corporate training is also available, built around your organisation’s specific needs.
Training is given by friendly staff with extensive educational experience combined with computer qualifications. The business was created more than 3 years ago by Vivianne Mail. Our vision is to assist people to use "training to develop computing confidence through computer competence". We value the opportunity to help people gain computer-based productivity skills in a friendly, non-threatening environment.
