The museum's collection includes 6 New Zealand Historic Places Trust Registered Historic Wairarapa buildings including Wairarapa's first purpose built church, now popular as a wedding venue, Wairarapa's first public hospital, an original colonial cottage, and a collection of historic Wairarapa horse-drawn vehicles, in addition to vintage machinery and a Print shop with working vintage printing presses, all set in park-like grounds.
