Arline Fishing Charters is a small company determined to provide a service that sets us apart from our competitors. The crew and owners of the Arline make it their mission to create fishing trips that you will want to come back and experience all over again.

We believe in providing a low pressure, relaxing but hopefully exciting fishing trip that will appeal to all ages and levels of experience.

We provide a crew of two on every trip:

Terry the Skipper - You could be forgiven for thinking that he has done it all. He has owned and operated several Charter Boats fishing for marlin, kingfish and Hapuku (Grouper). He's fished all up the coast from Auckland to North Cape. He's spent many cold nights laying and baiting up long-lines with hundreds of hooks. He's skippered large trawlers in the northern hemisphere. His knowledge is extensive and goes a long way to helping the Arline retain its reputation of being a very successful boat. With more than 45 years in the Charter Boat business in the Bay of Islands, Terry is the areas longest serving fishing skipper.

Murray the Deckie - He has many years of Customer Service under his belt but only three on a Charter Boat. As Owner of the Arline, he has an active interest in making sure everyone's having a good time. He is alway open for feedback, so positive or negative, please let him know.

The Arline is a character 40ft Kauri boat that can take you out to the fishing grounds at a comfortable 10 knots. The large canopy gives customers plenty of opportunity to shelter from the regions diverse weather conditions. A sunburnt or rain soaked angler can be avoided with ease.

Unlike the so called "fast boats" our clients are not crammed together on a small deck space. With a combined perimeter of 85ft, even with our full compliment of 15 anglers, we still have at least 5ft (almost 2 metres) between each person. Numbers on board will vary from 4 people (min) to 15 (max) so often there will be even more room.
