Tim Manning: Eori Island

Eori Island is a private Fijian island up for sale by property developer Tim Manning.

There’s not a person in this world who wouldn’t like their own slice of private island paradise… and Tim Manning can make it happen.

Part-owned by former All Black Eric Rush but largely owned by property developer Tim Manning, Eori Island is often described as one of the most stunning islands in Fiji.

Encapsulating everything the perfect tropical island paradise should be, Eori Island offers white sand, crystal clear water, palm trees and a protective reef.

And for those who desire their own picturesque island getaway, this little piece of Pacific paradise is still up for sale.

Despite recent interest from wealthy buyers, the island failed to meet the reserve and sell at a gala auction in August.

Eori Island is an ideal investment for property developers:

  • Prime real estate for a small, boutique island resort
  • Uninterrupted sunsets and stunning views
  • Located just 50kms from Port Denarau
  • Seaplane and airport transfers readily available

While Eric Rush has a seven percent share in the 9.7ha property, the biggest share is held by New Zealand developer Tim Manning through his company, Chaylor Investments.

Eori Island's seller, Pacific Islands Partnership Limited, was offering all the shares in the company, which holds a 99-year lease on the island. Tim Manning is the sole director of Pacific Islands Partnership, and the major shareholding is held by his company, Chaylor Investments.

Tim Manning says there has been strong interest in Eori from buyers in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Dubbed the "island of dreams", the native lease permits resort and residential development. There is also approval for a 100m jetty.

Eori is 20 minutes by helicopter from Nadi International Airport, or 60 minutes by boat from Port Denerau. It has views across the reef to neighbouring resort islands Mana, Tokoriki and Tavua.

"It's gorgeous, and that's why it's attracted some serious interest from very wealthy people," says Tim Manning.
