Tipis have served Native Americans for centuries as tried and true housing; they offer a quick and effective way to find a connection with the earth and the nature surrounding us.
Tipis require minimal resources to make, and are thus a dwelling that doesn't cause harm to our planet. People living in tipis often come together in a community and share the rare world around them together. As one can remain dry while listening to the sound of the rain or sit on the earth amongst an open fire in a tipi, there is no dwelling option that brings you closer to the earth than tipi living.
13th Tribe Tipis offer six different sizes of tipi, covering areas of from 4.9 square metres to 38.4 square metres. Tipis can be used as both permanent and temporary dwellings, and are also ideal for use as guest rooms or for meetings, gatherings and parties
All tipis come with instructions for raising, however if you live in the upper or central North Island, 13th Tribe Tipis are able to come to you and give you a demonstration on how to erect your tipi, or can do so for you (price depending on location from the Coromandel, the home base of 13th Tribe Tipis).
Alternatively, freight is available throughout New Zealand. Expect to receive your tipi two weeks after confirmation of order and deposit.
