This Waikato town is the hub of New Zealand's forestry, timber and pulp and paper industries. Located mid-way between Taupo and Hamilton, Tokoroa lies at the crossroads between the lush dairy farmland of the South Waikato and the plantation forests of the central North Island. The region usually has warm, humid summers and mild winters, with predominantly westerly and southwesterly winds.
