Blue skies, wide open spaces and natural wonders are all part of the Nelson region's appeal. As the sunniest region in New Zealand, it makes sense to spend time enjoying Nelson weather in the great outdoors with a visit to one of three national parks in the area: Nelson Lakes, Kahurangi and Abel Tasman, each unique in its own right. Motueka is tucked between the Mount Arthur Range and Tasman Bay, and is a popular stop-off for those on their way to the Abel Tasman National Park. Ideally located in Nelson's 'fruit belt,' Motueka weather is sunny and warm, providing excellent conditions for horticulture.
