SNR EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER 12 mth F/T contract Job Details

Our International Client operates a matrix organisational structure with a combination of project based and functional based reporting. Reporting to the Software Team Leader, the Senior Embedded Software Engineer performs complex software engineering duties using own initiatives, following established standards and procedures, working closely with other engineering disciplines, and from time to time as a team lead.

The position does not have any direct reports, but does perform complex schedules and test data requirements, consults with other Engineers, and Interfaces with Customers, contractors and marketing vendors.

You will be required to:

• Design all the software needed for a microcontroller on a custom PCB.
• Write and maintain code in "C" and assembler for ARM, 8051.
• Valuate support and interface with existing code bases.
• Supervise and mentor other Software Engineers.
• Revisit Design decisions.

For this role you will need:

• A Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Science or similar + 5yrs experience.
• Experience with the development of low-level software for various microcontrollers.
• Ability to work as a team player and work under pressure.
• Imperative to have effective written and oral communication skills.
• To be able to travel.
