Product Development Engineer Job Details

The client is a world leader in the manufacture and supply of tightly engineered mechanical products. 

 A vacancy exists in the Design Team which has the primary task of meeting the needs of NZ customers with new products while also modifying existing products.  The work focuses on the design and modification of moving mechanical products and components.  Responsibilities also cover development through to production and problem solving of a range of engineering issues.  No two days are ever the same - close interaction is required with associated plants overseas, and locally with manufacturing, marketing, supply chain and costing team members.

 We seek people who have experience on 3D CAD and can demonstrate skills in mechanical design and project management.  A qualification in engineering or technology at degree or diploma level is required.  Having the flexibility to deal with multiple projects and demands is critical for this role.
