Our client is an industry leading manufacturer with strong ties to the Canterbury region. As an award winning exporter they have built their success on innovative deign, quality products and the flexibility to meet the needs of their customers, both large and small.

The Mechanical Design Engineer is a recently created role, developed to meet the growing needs of the business and as such will play an important role in this highly talented design team.

This position will predominantly be focused upon the design of new domestic and industrial heating and refrigeration products. You will therefore require the ability to incorporate and work closely with client requirements, whilst being driven by “design for manufacture” principles and the challenge of meeting tight deadlines.

This role will require you to have a minimum of 5-7 years commercial design experience, ideally gained within the design/manufacture of domestic/industrial appliances, working with sheet metal and enclosure design.
