NZS.com is your source for the Super 14 Standings for 2009. We've also got the Super 14 Results which are updated weekly.

The Super 14 is the largest Rugby Union regional championship in the southern hemisphere. It comprises of five regions (or combinations of regions) in New Zealand, four state teams from Australia, and five teams from regions of South Africa. The competition runs for 14 weeks.

The teams are ranked according to the number of competition points they earn during the 14-week season. 4 points are awarded for winning a match, 2 for drawing a match, and 0 for loosing a match.

Since the beginning of the tournament in 1996 (then called the Super 12), teams from New Zealand have won 10 of the 13 tournaments.
