It's called Kiwi Status

Kiwi Status is a unique way of identifying relevancy to your search within the New Zealand Web space, and presenting it to visitors to ensure they receive the most relevant information via the NZS.com directory categories.

After many months hard work, in August 2008 NZS.com rolled out this brand new way of ordering websites within the categories in our directory.

Previously, websites were only visible in an alphabetical format. While alphabetical ordering has its benefits for ease of use, the results a visitor sees are not necessarily the most useful websites available within their category.

NZS.com wanted to find a way to get you, the visitor, the information you want faster.

The Kiwi Status system analyses each website in relation to the rest of the New Zealand Web, and gives it a relevancy score using approximately 20 different criteria. This ordering system is completely unique to NZS.com, there is nothing else like it in New Zealand. Kiwi Status was developed by us, for the benefit of the New Zealand public.

The Kiwi Status system was built as an objective way of looking at what content is of the most use to the New Zealand public. It does not look at individual sites with a arbitrating eye, instead looks at them in relation to all other sites which are relevant in a particular category, and determines which are the most useful and informative resources in relation to the other resources available online.
