New Zealand Sales Executive, Phone Based Job Vacancy

NZS.com has yet to leveraged its full potential in sales. This is a unique opportunity to come on-board with an exciting product and a vibrant team.

NZS.com is the number one web directory in New Zealand in both traffic and size. With 900,000+ page views per month and 300,000+ unique users on a monthly basis, NZS.com is well-placed to proceed with an online advertising push.

Based in Christchurch, you will be responsible for acquiring new business through-out New Zealand. Your targets will be small to mid-sized businesses that are looking to extend their online presence. You will be identifying prospects, establishing contact with the decision maker and helping bring targeted online traffic to their website from NZS.com.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying & prioritising prospective advertisers
  • Establishing contact with decision makers within specific NZS.com categories
  • Understanding the online advertising market and metrics to a level where you can sell advertising to the decision maker
  • Providing feedback from advertisers to the wider NZS.com team

Required skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of and experience with online advertising
  • Strong telesales skills with motivation provided by a commission element
  • Ability to work with clients from all levels (from SMEs to advertising agencies)
  • Ability to close a deal in a short amount of time

The ideal candidate will have experience in the online advertising industry (sales or purchasing) and be looking for the opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a business that has not yet leveraged its full potential in sales.

This role is based from Christchurch although applicants from within New Zealand will be considered based on their suitability for the role.
