A source close to Yahoo has been quoted as saying the search giant may &lt;a href="http://www.stuff.co.nz/4386962a28.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;enter into an arrangement with Google&lt;/a&gt;, an even larger Internet giant and search competitor. Google criticised Microsoft for its bid to buy Yahoo, claiming that the alliance would simply extend Microsoft's software monopoly deeper into the Internet realm.
